I’ve reached saturation point with people like Carlson. A Democratic Congresswoman offers a poorly worded yet legitimate criticism of Israel’s openly prejudiced and discriminatory government, and the GOP and FoxNews (one and the same) decide the Democratic Party is nothing but a bunch of fierce antisemites. Meanwhile, FoxNews and the rest of the Trump cult have been saying racist, sexist, xenophobic, and in all ways disgusting garbage for decades, but it is so commonplace for them that I genuinely can’t get worked up about it anymore. To get worked up every time one of these a-holes acts like an a-hole is emotionally draining. The GOP has worn me down I guess... them being bigots is routine and accepted; it’s who they are, and as the old saying goes, when somebody shows you who they are, believe them.
Nothing will happen to Carlson. His supporters already know and don’t care, and the rest of us can’t muster up any shock or outrage anymore.
