I don't get MSNBC on the cable, but I probably listen to her audio podcast of the same content, probably 3 times a week. It really is remarkable how she completely explains things, in long sentences, for absolute and complete clarity to make her points. I'm used to it, but I understand how some would not like it.
You are both right.... there is very little news in her show. I tend to consider it extra context or dimension to the stories. The Bagman podcast series was good though.
