TV audiences are aging and advertisers see them as the equivalent of
comfort food. For the stars it could be about staying in the public eye or
even a way to keep busy. Leno's the most in-demand standup for corporate
gigs so he's set for life without spending his TV money. After Nike got
Michael Jordan to do endorsements thirty plus years ago the shame about
doing endorsements and commercials went away. It's not a sign of being
desperate for money like it was before then.
