Super-quick review: They used the AITF episode that officially spun off the Jeffersons, as well as the pilot of The Jeffersons.
The AITF segment suffered from poor pacing, due in part to a somewhat slavish devotion to Archie & Edith’s outer borough dialects (and, honestly, some bad casting). It didn’t help when Jamie Foxx not only broke, but broke the 4th wall. By contrast, the back half of the program was near pitch-perfect, with a wonderful surprise at the very end. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TVorNotTV" group.
