If you're old enough to remember radio stations that played automated country music through the 1970s and/or '80s, you'd probably heard Bob introing and outroing songs on those... I had that with FM 104.1 (now pop hits) in Allentown... he connects to Casey Kasem's universe, taking over from Don Bustany as producer of "American Country Countdown" in 1974 about a year after Watermark launched the AT-40 clone, then succeeding writer/comedian Don Bowman as its host in '78... he left the by-then-ABC-owned weekly in 2006 when they hired Kix Brooks, to start a competing survey show which he kept going till his recent diagnosis with bladder cancer... listeners in more-recent years heard him urging contributions to his favorite charitable, the Wounded Warrior Project... in Weatherford, TX; 80.
