HBO Go is for Cable subscribers who get HBO. It lets you stream at no extra cost. HBO Now is for cordcutters to stream HBO at $15 a month HBO Max will release in May for $15 a month. It will have HBO + extra stuff like Friends, Big Bang Theory, South Park, and Doctor Who.
It looks like HBO Now subscribers will be switched to HBO Max if they buy directly from HBO, but not from a third party.
