It's so sad that the UK version of TCM is nothing like the original. We don't get any intros ever, and while the range of films is OK, it tends to be on a fairly hard rotation. They even *downgraded* from HD to plain SD...
(On the plus side, there's an independently run channel in the UK called Talking Pictures TV which has done really well running all kinds of old films - starting out with old British titles, but expanding into all the sorts of films that just don't get shown on TV anymore. It's run by family. However, I know they're struggling with ad sales dropping off a cliff).
