The main thing I noticed is that CBS has no starting dates at all in their
schedule, which means they're going day-by-day. The main thing is that
they'll seem to wait for Jeff Probst to finish another cycle of "Survivor"
before announcing anything--I honestly thought there'd be no "Survivor" at
all this fall, especially considering how many people--contestants, staff
and crew, including Probst--are going to have to be quarantined before
setting foot on Fiji.

As for the new shows, for those who want windier descriptions than Brad's
haiku:

B POSITIVE (Thurs. 8:30)--The fourth consecutive fall with a new half-hour
from Chuck Lorre, this time having some resemblances with last year's "Bob
(Hearts) Abishola" in that it's about a medical love affair--in this case
therapist Thomas Middleditch, who needs a kidney and finds one from a
"rough-around-the-edges" woman from his past played by Broadway star
Annaleigh Ashford. Needless to say, there's more than just a donor
involved here. The multi-cam supposedly wrapped production one day before
the lockdown hit California, with a Jimmy Burrows-directed pilot.
Personally, if this makes Ashford a TV star I'd be very happy, since she's
likable without being overly perky. CBS would probably wish that Lorre and
Warners would give them a cut of his shows, considering their inability to
get an in-house sitcom to 100 episodes and syndication since "King of
Queens" (and they had to split the syndication with Sony).

THE EQUALIZER (Sun. 8)--It's Ms. McCall in this reboot of the 80s crime
drama (and two theatrical films). Queen Latifah takes over from Edward
Woodward (and Denzel Washington in the movies) as the enigmatic
crimefighter. Chris Noth and Lorraine Toussaint are also in the cast, it's
from original producer Universal and CBS Studios.

CLARICE (mid-season)--Clariiiice--well hello, Clariiice. It's 1993 and FBI
agent Clarice Starling is back on the trail six months after the events of
"The Silence of the Lambs" (and before the events of "Hannibal" the film)
and dealing with her troubled past (presumably not with fava beans and a
nice chianti). Aussie Rebecca Breeds ("Home and Away," later seasons of
"Pretty Little Liars") plays Clarice and Kal Penn is featured. Alex
Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet (you know her director father) are showrunners for
MGM and CBS Studios.

Since ABC's not doing a schedule for now, we'll wait.
