If Curry sees herself as an old style hard news journalist she would see the goings on at The Today Show as gossip and nothing to go public with. She reported what had been told to her about Lauer to NBC News at the time and that was her obligation. SHe is hurt that the executives at NBC News never told her why she was being fired from The Today Show.
