There are ways for YouTube channels to monetize without using subscriptions.
I don't have one myself, but having increased my YouTube watching during the
pandemic, I now know way more than I'd like to.
Once you've subscribed, you can also opt in for notifications once new content
is available.
You can also avoid this stuff, and just bookmark his channel page and remember
to visit often.

Go to YouTube and do a search for Keith Olbermann. When the results come up
choose a video where KO is the source. On that page look for the Subscribe link
and tap or click on it. After that when you go to the YouTube page or load the
app go to your subscriptions and his videos will be there.
