There are things in the world that I like that I am foregoing now because
of this virus. Day-trips to the beach. Disneyland. Just hanging out with a
group of friends. I sacrificed a big wedding, and we had no reception. I
like the Price is Right, and one of the biggest thrills I got working in
Hollywood was spinning the big wheel backstage at CBS TV City. But this is
not essential. New TV shows and new movies are not essential. New sports
and new concerts are not essential. And however CBS wants to paint a rosey
picture, it is still unnecessary. We all want to go back to normal, but we
can’t. We are all fatigued, but that’s still not an excuse to be reckless.
