I have a stronger interest in where the TV business is and where it's going
than critiquing the shows that are on. In this article Rob Owen gives a
snapshot of the business. The major piece is that media companies are
investing in scripted shows for their streaming services instead of their
cable channels. The number I did not know was that there were 98 million
homes that had cable or satellite in 2016 and there are 74 million today
with younger households getting rid of (or never having) cable.
