I saw Holbrook on his final tour as Mark Twain in 2017. Let's just say... he was no longer up to the demands of performing. Shuffled across the stage weekly, repeated stories, took minute-plus pauses as he seemed to try to remember his place. He retired a few months later. I loved the guy, and I'm glad I saw him, but I wish I'd done it 10 or 20 years earlier.
