BBC Four here in the UK, this week aired an interesting documentary that I think was first released at Sundance last year. Whirlybird is the story of Zoey Tur (previously Bob) and Marika Gerrard, and their helicopter reporting business.
I'm sure that some of our LA based members may know Bob's work which includes coverage of the LA riots following the Rodney King beating, and the OJ car chase. The documentary is a portrait of the people as much as anything but the makers have full access to the full archive of tapes they shot, including lots of rushes that never made it to air. I don't know where it'll have shown up on US TV, although there's an A&E Television copyright credit on it, but it is so much better than that awful Netflix reality series from a couple of years ago following LA stringers. Worth checking out. Adam -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TVorNotTV" group.
