If there were a conflict, one or both of the sides would be leaking to the
media in order to control the narrative. If NBC was calling on Meyers to
take a pay cut in order to continue hosting we'd hear it. If Meyers was
unhappy with NBC or the proposed deal there would be rumors around that he
was willing to leave Late Night if only to get a sense of how much money
would be out there if he jumped to Comedy Central or TBS or whoever.

If NBC wants to cut the budget for the show they could continue with remote
interviews once the pandemic is suppressed. Suddenly yanking a host and
replacing him with a new host without preparing the audience would be fatal
for the show. Plus I just checked Sue Trowbridge's late night lineups page
and Meyers has new shows next week. That's not a sign his dismissal is
imminent.
