I would just be enormously wary about these numbers of complaints. Large
numbers of complaints always suggests some kind of organised campaign
somewhere. And of course surprisingly easy to do on social media.

The other thing to say is that it doesn't actually matter. Ofcom only needs
to have a single complaint - or none at all if it's "monitoring" the
programme - and they can take action. Having tens of thousands of
complaints shouldn't matter.

And I say all this being in complete agreement with those who think Morgan
abused his position and complained about him.

As an aside, there's a really good piece by a BBC presenter called Clive
Myrie (he shows up on the BBC World News Channel) in which he explores the
pros and cons of the UK and US's regulatory frameworks, or lack thereof.
