Alex had about a decade of game show experience before starting Jeopardy!  I'd 
think that any rustiness in his first season would have to be specific to the 
game.

first season would show a similar lack of fluency with the nuances. I remember 
how much we (my grandpa and I) initially disliked Alex, but can’t remember if 
we had any concrete evidence, or just missed Art.
