So, why not just have a show where professional singers sing? I’m not trying to be a curmudgeon, but I don’t understand the added value in the costumes and the “suspense” of not knowing who is singing. It’s about as dramatic as a game of Three Card Monty. Why does the gimmick get ratings? And why would it continue getting ratings if, time and time again, the secret singers always turn out to be professional singers? I thought the hook was learning that it was someone like Ken Jeong? I guess I just don’t understand.
