That’s a lot of television I will be watching. I always watch a lot of Olympics, but have a special interest this year as my son was supposed to be in Japan this year (originally scheduled to arrive in August of 2020). He is a long time fan of Japanese culture, and reached a long time gal of being accepted into the JET program to teach high school in Japan.
Every 2-3 months this year we got a message from the Japanese government that his entry to Japan had been delayed. In January we thought he was about 2 weeks from leaving until they delayed it again. It has been heartbreaking for him, and his parents. It has been clear for a long time that the Japanese government was both obsessed with the Olympics, and incompetently managing the pandemic.
