I watched the documentary series which was a two hour story told in eight
hours. With all its flaws the documentary didn't lay any overt bias on the
story, picking heroes and villains. Marc Maron described the series
(without having watched it) as broken people doing shitty things. You can't
turn that into a drama. The audience needs someone to root for and that
will pervert the whole concept.
