I'd recently dived into UK panel show clips on YouTube, and gravitated toward those programs that didn't require a high level of UK-specific knowledge to follow the action. One of those programs was 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, a loosely organized series of bits interrupted by letter and number puzzles. Sean Lock was one of the regular panelists and a ridiculously funny fellow of the absurdist curmudgeon variety.
