Star Trek occurred at a time when mankind could only launch itself into space on top of a giant rocket filled with explosive fuel. Now, nearly 60 years later, mankind has reverted back to the aforementioned fuel filled rocket. Putting Shatner on the rocket only calls attention to the fact we’ve made no significant progress in our journey to the stars.
