When you write and record a song about "Music," which he did in the 
mid-70s, you become an instant hero, which he was in his native Britain... 
that and another record, "Slowdown," didn't go far in America, where he was 
far better known for touring with Tina Turner, Jimmy Page, and Joe Cocker, 
and as one of the many vocalists of The Alan Parsons Project... my favorite 
by them has him on lead, "Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether" from *Tales of 
Mystery and Imagination*, the Edgar Allan Poe concept disc...
