Atlanta's WPBA as of today is WABE-TV, as the PBS affil takes on the
identity of their sister NPR news-talk station, both owned by the Atlanta
Board of Education and operated by what was known as Public Broadcasting
Atlanta and now is branded WABE (the organization has managed the stations
since 1994). Outside of a new logo and a new slogan "Amplifying Atlanta,"
no major changes:

In the Atlanta market, WABE competes with the state-run Georgia Public
Broadcasting on PBS station WGTV and during daytime on Georgia State
University's WRAS-FM with a different NPR news-talk format, although
carrying the NPR drive time news shows at the same time WABE does (the
station continues its over 50 year "Album 88" college indie rock
programming at nights, on the station's HD-2 signal and streaming).
