I downloaded Freevee a few days ago and just checked it. There are no linear channels, just on demand content. And sure, the content on the streaming linear channels is the cheapest available. As it’s just an emerging business there’s no incentive to invest in original programming. I used to check out CBS Sports News on Pluto and it’s headlines and content for gamblers. In the future that’s the sort of thing I expect from these channels: single sponsored tailored content.
The main point being these channels aren’t disappearing in the next 5-10 years.
