I am really interested to see over the next day or two what the ratings and
response to this program were from young adults, at whom it seems the show
was targeted. I found it to be among the worst Awards Shows I have ever
seen, but I am aware that may be because I am so old. I was raised to
expect jokes to be funny, and production to be coherent.

There were memorable moments in the program, almost all in the acceptance
speeches - which, again, is why I think they should spend more of their
time budget on making room for the speeches, and less on rap and dance
numbers to random old TV theme songs.

Of course, any program that can not only cut to Zendaya in the audience a
half dozen times, but then gaze on her lovingly as she wins an award, is
going to have highlights.

The lack of respect shown over the years to Better Call Saul and it’s cast
is stunning.

Okay, I guess I will check out White Lotus. No, I don’t think I can sit
through a second season of Hacks.
