I had no idea Dish owns Sling. I see Dish as being in the decline phase of its business life and I can see them trying to cut costs wherever they can. I can also see Disney wanting to wean themselves off of cable partnerships and getting all of the revenue through streaming.
Sling should still have some potential for growth though, and as they’re not a contract service, they could take a crushing hit by losing ESPN.
