After Tuesday, I'm hoping that problem comes to pass. :-) In general, the Seahawks and Mariners avoid scheduling home games at the same time, although there have been Sounders and Mariners games at the same time. There is an agreement in place that dates back to the opening of the Seahawks stadium that says the Mariners would have priority for playoff games (not that this has been an issue since 2001...), so I'm guessing 5:30 Eastern (2:30 local) was the latest the NFL would let them go.
I'm going, but I'm glad I'm not driving. Parking for 110,000 people that afternoon is going to be an absolute madhouse.
