It only took 48 years, but the post-production teams that work on "SNL"'s location sketches like the commercial parodies and "Digital Shorts" are now members of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, with no protest from Lorne or NBC--depending on how many are being worked on, up to 20 people work part-time assembling the pieces:
