The clips ran without any studio commentary but, I assume, with added graphics. It seems like the only BBC voices you heard during that time was the BBC1 booth announcer leading in and leading out, with the only other sounds the show's theme (same theme for almost 60 years!) and the sounds from the match with the commentary from Sky's announcers (or whoever else was carrying the matches).
