Not the Commissioner, the onetime drummer of L.A.'s "Wrecking Crew" that
played on a stack of pop hits, spent decades in prison for being driven by
schizophrenia to kill his mother, won a Grammy years after the fact when
official co-writer Eric Clapton revived "Layla" on *MTV Unplugged*, and
allegedly swiped credit from Rita Coolidge (whom he brutally beat,
f'rinstance, in 1970) for part of said "Layla."

In said prison, Vacaville, CA; 77.

I wonder who his executor is... could it be Coolidge?
