I was a big fan of the series -- bought all of the music and even managed to attend the one night only concert version of the series in New York in 2015, which was superb.
Initially, when it was first talked about, the broadway production was supposed to be *Bombshell*, the musical within the musical, but, fortunately that plan got canned. I doubt any of the original cast will be on stage. Oddly enough, I saw both Megan Hilty and Katharine McPhee in concert this year (at different times).
