As Charter's Spectrum customers have been without ESPN and Disney's other
cable channels for the last week (and NY's WABC, LA's KABC and
Raleigh-Durham's WTVD) as the company refuses to go along with the usual
demands of jacking up the subscriber fees for unwatched channels, a class
action suit has been filed in Florida federal court claiming that Spectrum
customers are "being held hostage" by Charter as "pawns in a clear money
grab," calling on Charter to restore Disney channels or reimburse all
customers (Charter is offering a $15 rebate, but only if you call customer
service):

The John/Jane Doe suit has been filed by a firm in Tampa called The
Consumer Protection Firm, LLC, which has been particularly successful in
cases involving spam robocallers. No indication if Disney is one of their
clients. The complaint is included in the link.
