The Bucs had already been scheduled to wear their orange-and-white "throwback" uniforms for this game, for the first time in years -- the reason being that it's a matchup against a team from the old NFC Central, their home during the couple of decades they wore those uniforms. Moving the game to CBS would have made it even more old-school.
(For some years, the NFL had a "one-shell rule" for a team's helmets, which meant the Bucs couldn't switch between their regular pewter-colored helmets and the white helmets that are part of the throwback uniform set, so they opted not to wear the throwbacks at all.
