The listed names are for whatever the @midnight show is going to be.  I think
Tomlinson would be a better fit for this program than for TDS, but I think her
level of success as a comedian could price her out of whatever salary CBS is
wanting to pay for the host.

I consider her more social than political. I like her, but I don’t know that
she’d shine as the host of TDS.

Assuming he meant Taylor Tomlinson, I feel like she'd be a good choice.  I've
enjoyed her Netflix standup specials.

I'm guessing you mean Taylor Tomlinson, a comic who was recently on the Fly on
the Wall podcast, and not Taylor Thompson.

Matt Belloni at Puck News last night had two items on late night shows:
1. Litigation is on the horizon between Hassan Minhaj, who believes he had an
enforceable oral contract to take over TDS prior to the Strike that CC breached
after the New Yorker story was published on 9/15, and CC, which says that while
they were close to a deal, they were still completing their due diligence and
had not closed a deal, oral or otherwise. Or maybe cool heads will prevail and
they settle on a payoff. I have not followed the details of the Minhaj
situation, but from afar do not understand the fuss; has any other comic gotten
in trouble because elements in the set up for their punchlines were not
literally true? Are we meant to believe there really was a family vaudeville
act called The Aristocrats who performed disgusting sexual and scatalogical
acts on each other?
2. @Midnight host options down to three: Ricky Velez, X Mayo, Taylor Thompson.
Belloni did not note that Velez was on the at home Covid Colbert show this
week, and maybe that bit about Velez taking over the hosting of that episode
with Pete Davidson was meant to signal that he would soon be hosting the show
following Colbert. For me it was painfully unfunny, and more of a reason to go
with one of the other two candidates.
