We watched the whole series this year in our household, and it was another
show where there were no likable characters, though in this case it is less
the fault of the writers and more the fault of the deeply flawed real-life
family the show centers around. Watching the finale, I feel slighted. It
ends with the marriage of Charles and Camilla, leaving roughly two decades
of Elizabeth’s reign unexplored in the show. It was a lost opportunity to
cover the family racism and other key issues related to the monarchy.
