Meg Bennett got her first television appearance by lying that she wasn't an 
actress to be a contestant on the Bill Cullen game show "Three on a Match" 
(this was when AFTRA was saying that game show producers had to pay losing 
union members scale instead of giving them American Tourister luggage and 
Rice-a-Roni)--afterwards, she was in the original Broadway cast of "Grease" 
before a stint on "Search for Tomorrow" and six years as Julia on "The 
Young and the Restless"--co-creator Bill Bell knew that she would rewrite 
her lines and asked her to become a writer on the show--she later won an 
Emmy in 1995 as a writer on "General Hospital":
