Lee Gabler, the head of Creative Artists Agency's TV department, was 
responsible for Dave's move from NBC to CBS in 1992 and was rewarded by 
becoming co-chair of the agency four years later--he retired in 2007 and 
became a consultant at Worldwide Pants--some of the other shows he put on 
the air in his 40-year career included "MTM," "The West Wing," "Mad Men," 
"American Idol" and "The Amazing Race"--Monday of a brain injury:
