Much like Rush Limbaugh, his legacy will be that he has no legacy. He spent decades spewing negativity into the ether, and consequently will be forgotten. Contrast that with Bob Newhart, who redefined standup comedy and modernized sitcoms that combined work and family. Lou Dobbs won’t even be remembered by people named Dobbs.
