BBC director general Tim Davie has issued an apology for the alleged "gross
misconduct" of two of the professional dancers on "Strictly Come Dancing"
(the home base for the "Dancing With the Stars" franchise) towards their
celeb charges in previous seasons after the said celebs complained--the two
dancers, both male, were fired and there will be closer supervision during
rehearsals and new welfare producers for both the pros and the celebs:

For the record, the celebs are a woman best known for appearing on ITV's
"Love Island" franchise and character actress Amanda Abbington, whose
more-than-respectable career, if not star-making, was enough for me to take
out the "D-list" pejorative from this post (among other things, her partner
is Martin Freeman, Dr. Watson on "Sherlock," and she played Watson's wife
on the series).
