Well! Far be it from me to defend SNL, but I thought the opener managed to 
avoid the coveted "utter disaster" rating. The Spirit commercial was good 
(I honestly thought it was paid promotion), WU was very good (especially 
Yang as Moo Deng), and even though the sketch with the chimp wasn't good, 
the puppet was charming -- and I hate puppets.

Of course, Smart butchering Cole Porter and the endless cold opening got 
things off to a very rough start.

So Spirit can stuff it.
