The author's three very local-sounding radio stations in Bangor--oldies AM 
WZON, album rock WKIT and adult alternative WZLO--had been losing money for 
years, with King covering the deficits (despite WKIT, billed as "Stephen 
King's Rock 'n' Roll Station," being number one in the ratings), and he 
decided that he needed to get his finances in order at the age of 77, so 
the stations go off the air at the end of the month (no indication of 
possible buyers or if he will require them to keep the formats):
