Hollywood has a litany of problems. AI encroachment. Out of state tax scams driving away filming. A glut of original content being largely ignored in favor of tired reboots and sequels. Streaming services and short form social media videos altering viewer expectations and experiences.
None of those things could ever be addressed by the guy from Rocky 5, or the guy from Lethal Weapon 12, or the guy from Mission Impossible 70. Clint Eastwood is more conservative than all those guys, and he’s equally old. Zach Levi is a proud member of the MAGA cult, and younger. Chris Pratt falls somewhere between them on the bathsh*t spectrum. But they wouldn’t take the gig because people still hire them. Kevin M.
