Im not seeing the passage in the article where Sen Wyden states his suspicion President Trump instigated the UK action. The UK has been opposed to the unbreakable locks on data for a long time, as has Trump, and Wyden simply stated why he thought it would be wrong for US government and corporations to allow foreign governments to access private information of private American citizens. While he probably doesn’t want the Brits mucking about, this has more to do with the Russians and Chinese.
Not every issue has to be petrified by running it through the Trump filter. This is an important and delicate problem, with good arguments on both sides. ======== “Sen.
