At a certain point (and I think we have reached if not passed it) what Moran said was just reporting the news. He did not hate-tweet, he explained what drives Stephen Miller, and how he is similar and different from Trump.
I think we would hope a newsman in 1936 Germany would have the integrity to describe Goebbels as a world class hater, while Hitler is also a hater, but driven more by his narcissism. ABC had the good manners to admit they had to fire him because they are afraid of Trump. Perhaps that’s good business, but it’s not good journalism.
