The first ombudsman in the history of CBS News (what would Murrow think?) is Kenneth Weinstein, the former head of the Hudson Institute, who was picked by Trump in his first term to be ambassador to Japan but didn't get Senate approval--along with many other things, including Paramount's imminent (so it seems) acquisition of Bari Weiss' Free Press (and her possible presence at the Eye), it continues the obvious pattern that the Ellisons want CBS News to be more like Fox:
