After last week's bloodbath where showrunner Tanya Simon and correspondents Cecilia Vega and Sharyn Alfonsi were shown the door, among several others, Monday's staff meeting where Pelley ripped into new showrunner Nick BIlton (no TV journalism experience) and Bari Weiss (who was not there) and an equally contentious meeting yesterday with BIlton, Weiss and other CBS execs, Bilton pinkslipped Pelley last night, leaving the show in more of a flux than it already is as they enter the time of year when they're preparing for the fall (this is not a show that chases police cars or waits for press conferences) (the letter from Bilton is in the link below):
