Friday the 13th has become a unlucky day for the launch of NOAA-N on a
Delta II rocket.
Friday mornings launch was scrubbed due to electrical problems and a
pump failing at the launch pad water deluge pump house which technicians
repaired and tested this afternoon ready for Saturdays launch, but the
13th curse struck again, a purge line became disconnected at the launch
pad. and officials are concerned about possible contamination in the
rocket's nose cone forcing a scrub to Saturday mornings launch attempt.

The next attempt is next Thursday at the earliest due to orbital
mechanics constraints to put the NOAA-N in the proper orbit.

If the launch had gone off Friday morning, we here in Southern
California would of gotten a spectacular show as the Delta II flies down
the coast as the skies were crystal clear :-(
