NASA TV Covering Progress Docking to Space Station

WASHINGTON, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- When a fresh shipment of supplies
arrives at the International Space Station, NASA TV will broadcast it
live. Coverage begins Saturday at 7 p.m. EDT. The Progress supply craft
is scheduled to dock to the aft port of the Zvezda Service Module at
approximately 8:44 p.m. EDT, June 18.
The automated spacecraft, the 18th Progress to visit the Station, has
more than two tons of supplies for the Expedition 11 crew, Commander
Sergei Krikalev and NASA Science Officer John Phillips. The cargo
includes a six- month supply of food, spare parts, water and oxygen. The
Progress also has camera gear for Station crews to use to inspect
approaching Space Shuttles.
The Progress launched yesterday at 7:09 p.m. EDT from the Baikonur
Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. It's a two-day journey to the Station.
NASA TV is available on the Web and via satellite in the continental
U.S. on AMC-6, Transponder 9C, C-Band, at 72 degrees west longitude. The
frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural
at 6.80 MHz. It's available in Alaska and Hawaii on AMC-7, Transponder
18C, C-Band, at 137 degrees west longitude. The frequency is 4060.0 MHz.
