RG cable specified doesn't know the frequency coming down. Same wire for
everything. OTOH, RG11 instead of RG6 for a 500-600' run wouldn't be a
bad idea, and would reduce the likelihood of need for amp(s) and buried
connections.

In a 600' cable run the amp is inserted midway between antenna and
receiver. That's probably partly why it's hard to find long spools of
ribbon any more. Ribbon cable is an installation convenience. When the
run gets long and you require something other than the usual complement
of wires, separates may may better sense or economy. Whether in a run of
500' an amp is actually required depends on LNB and receiver. I'd rather
do without it if it works acceptably that way, just another complication
that can break down leaving you scratching your head someday.
